2024

Our 2024 President is Dave Edwards.

Dave is supporting The Rainbow Trust Children's Charity, his President's Day is planned for Sunday 18th August.

Report:

We had a great day for the Club Presidents Day, Dave, along with wife Pam, put on a splendid show. We all appreciated the extra input from Jack Warner and Liz Dyer, decorating the clubhouse and organising the teams.
As Dave was supporting the Rainbows Charity from Loughborough, colourful outfits were the order of the day.

Winners of the match were the yellow team consisting of Mal Croson, Pat Wood, Ellen Corby, Chris Rawlings, Carol Findlay, Jeannie Hutton and Paul Taylor. The booby prize went to the Presidents own orange team and he was accompanied by Andy Williamson, Michelle Rawlings, Keith Cusdin, Jeff Wilcox-Smith and Olwen Dixon. Small gifts were handed out to all the winners and runners up. Jack Warner then took great pleasure in announcing another three special prizes, certificates for ‘wrong bias’ bowls played during the afternoon causing much hilarity to, Jill Wilcox-Smith, Annette Oliver and Pete Kelleher. There was a superb tea laid out for everyone to enjoy at the end of the match and President Dave was delighted to announce that during the year £690 had been raised for the charity, added to this was the day's donations, bringing the total so far to an impressive £929.
